YOUR QUESTIONS

If your dog is pretty laid back, calm in new environments and has basic obedience training then a studio shoot will be great for them. Studio shoots give consistent lighting and a classic backdrop.

We will meet up after exercising your dog at my local park, and start off in my garden so that your dog can familiarise themselves with me. We will then go into the studio when they are nice and relaxed.

Studio shoots last around 30 minutes and I aim to get a good variety of images in that time.

Outdoor shoots are best for more than one lively dog as they will not feel restricted at all in the small studio environment.

Outdoor shoots can be booked all year round, making the most of the English countryside. I have a few beautiful locations on my door step but am happy to meet up at your dog’s regular walking spot too.

Outdoor shoots undoubtably provide the most natural backdrop for your pooch.

Cats can come into the studio, but as they aren’t fans of travelling then it is often best if I come out to your home where they are relaxed to take their portraits. I can bring along a backdrop if needed.

Yes! I am happy to come out to your yard or stables to take your portraits. This includes photos of your horse and you/rider as well as your horse alone.

If you would like, I can also bring along some props to create a black background portrait. Please message me for further details.

Yes you can but the emphasis of the portraits will be mostly on your pet, so their comfort and needs come first.

As Pet Portraits are a new service for me, I am offering my first pet clients a fabulous deal so I can use their photos to promote my services. I will require a signed model release agreement to use the images online and in print.

I have taken photos of animals for many years, and included pets in other photo shoots before, but this service is for them exclusively.

To many people, myself included, their pets are their babies so it makes sense to include them in my family photography services. Plus I keep getting asked for these sessions!

Due to the majority of my work being with babies, to photograph a dog in my studio requires deep cleaning of all surfaces much more intensely than just between families. As some people suffer from pet hair allergies I need to make sure that all traces of your pet are removed after the session. I’m sure you understand that I must and do take hygiene incredibly seriously.
