PET PHOTOGRAPHER IPSWICH

Formally "Paws & Pose Portraits"

Paws & Pose Portraits has been combined with my established photography business, Little Violet Photography.

I offer pet photography for clients in and around Ipswich and the UK.

Dogs, cats, horses… I am happy to discuss clients of all shapes and sizes!

Outdoor Pet Session

Outdoor dog photo shoots consist of a fun walk in the park, local beach or wherever they are happiest to be.

I will join you on a walk with your furry friend and together we’ll create some beautiful, authentic memories.

On the photo shoot I aim to get a selection of different poses, including you and your family with your dog if you wish. Some of doggo exploring freely, and some posed shots.

Every dog is unique, so we will have a chat before the session so you can tell me all about them!

Studio Pet Session

Studio dog photo shoots are posed, more formal portraits which are designed to capture your pet’s best angles.

They are suitable for any age dog who has some basic commands. Also for puppies of course who have no other expectation other than being cute!

I bring my ‘pop up’ studio to your home for these portraits. We can also take some photos of your dog in your garden if you would like.

For me to come into your home and photograph your dog, I suggest we have a brief meet-up first. I can join you on a local walk, and your dog can get to know me in a neutral setting. We can chat about your expectations for the shoot along the way.

How does it work?

Before the shoot I will send you a Questionnaire to gather more information about you and your dog. This enables me to find out more about them – and you – and will allow us to plan where best for the photo shoot to take place.

We will meet up at our agreed location. If the session is outside, then the time of the shoot will depend on the time of year and the available sunlight.

There is plenty of time for a variety of portraits. I will aim to get some action shots of your pet as well as some candid moments. You can also join in for a couple if you would like.

Once your photo shoot has finished the work carries on for me as I go through each image, selecting the very best to edit for your final gallery.

Due to popular demand, I now offer online viewing galleries which are both convenient and private. We arrange a Zoom call to go over them together, and you can choose which images you want to take away with you.

Your Questions

Honestly, it’s fine. I have plenty of experience with dogs (and toddlers, who are harder to keep still!) and have a good few tricks up my sleeve to help us get those beautiful images you crave.

This is part of the reason for our initial consultation, as I will be able to make suggestions as to whether a studio or outdoor shoot would be better, and to advise on locations for outdoor shoots.

Depending on the time of year, there may be seasonal colours in the form of flowers/foliage that we can use to enhance your images. The focus will always be on your pet but a lovely pop of colour is always a good thing!

Yes! You may be surprised to learn that a lot of images have had leads removed in the editing process. So if your dog needs to keep their lead on then this isn’t a problem.

Also I know of a few private dog fields which are enclosed and safe, so if we need a session with no other dogs, then this is absolutely fine.

I pride myself on upfront pricing as I personally cannot stand hidden pricing in any form.

You pay £75 upfront to book your session. This is then deducted off the package cost. So the package cost is the total price you pay.

Wall Art, prints etc can also be ordered as extras with the pricing discussed on enquiry as prices vary due to the individual specifications.

Yes. Studio sessions will take place at your home.

I just need a reasonable sized room to setup my kit, I will bring everything needed along.

This has the advantage of your dog being in a familiar setting so they will already be more relaxed.

We will meet outside first so doggo doesn’t view me as an intruder, and finds out that actually I am a very nice human that brings treats!

No. Your dog is the star of this show!

You can have a couple of photos with them if you wish, but your dog is very much the focus of the shoot.

It’s best to bring your dog/s yourself, so just one adult preferably, unless more are needed due to the size of the dog group.

The reason for this is that the more people about, the more exciting it is to doggo, and we want them to be calm and as natural as possible.

If you want family and dog photoshoots, please book a family session as you can include your dog too (but this is more family focussed).
